Plato Town Park Rules
**The rules for the park listed below are just a general overview. The full set of rules can be obtained from Township Supervisor Kathleen Swanson. If you have any questions regarding an activity that can place at the park, you must contact Supervisor Swanson before conducting the activity in question.
**Park reservations/permits should be requested from Supervisor Swanson. Permits are required for parties, camping, special uses/events, and should be obtained 72 hours before your event
The Park is open from dawn until dusk. No person shall remain, stop or park within the confines of the park after dusk unless special permission has been received by the Plato Township Board.
All picnic areas are open on first come first serve basis (only the pavilion requires a permit/reservation).
Horse shoe pits are available at the park. There are also ball fields, soccer area and two playgrounds (one designed for 2-5 year olds and one for 5-12 year olds) located at the park.

There is a train depot located in the park. Reservations must be arranged to have the depot open for a tour.

Dogs need to be on a leash no longer than 6 feet. All animal waste must be picked up and disposed of by the person in control of the animal.

Any misuse or destruction of property belonging to the township is punishable to the full extent of the law set forth in the park rules.

No swimming, fishing or hunting allowed.

No fires, except in proper receptacles. All fires need to be properly extinguished(ashes cold to the human touch).

No ATV's or off road vehicles allowed.(includes snowmobiles)

The park is patrolled by the Kane County Sheriffs Department.
