Tower Road Bridge Inspection

August 3, 2026 – The Kane County Division of Transportation (KDOT) will perform routine bridge inspections on several local structures on August 5 and August 12, weather permitting.

These inspections are scheduled during daytime hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. While lane closures are not expected, drivers are urged to stay alert for crews working along the roadway shoulders and to use caution when passing through the inspection areas.

On Wednesday, August 5, inspections are planned for the following locations:

• Tower Road over the CC&P Railroad (Plato Township)


• Tyrrell Road over the I-90 Tollway (Rutland Township)


• Harmony Road over the I-90 Tollway (Rutland Township)

On Wednesday, August 12, inspections will occur at these sites:

• Main Street Road over the I-88 Tollway (Kaneville Township)


• Orchard Road over the I-88 Tollway (Aurora Township)
