| The new storm drain at the intersection of Muirhead Road and Plato Road has been installed. Crews have begun back filling and compacting the former water detection area to prepare for the relocation of the old intersection with Plato Road. Bridge demolition has been paused for the past week and a half. Work cannot proceed until ComEd crews are available on site to de-energize the overhead lines crossing the bridge. These lines must be insulated and protected before the heavy lift crane needed to remove the bridge deck slabs can be staged. ComEd has been busy assisting with power restoration efforts in Indiana, where severe storms caused significant damage over a week ago. Although there are hopes to have ComEd crews on site next week, no schedule has been provided yet. |
